Thoughts to Actions to Outcomes: Anne-Marie’s Planning Tool is Now Available for Purchase

The time has come to announce a little side-project I’ve been working on that not only is helping me develop the life I want, but I hope may help others too.

It’s no secret that I’ve always struggled with ADHD and an overactive brain that can often get overwhelmed when I simultaneously think about and try to manage my intentions, life goals, personal and professional tasks, developing positive habits, practicing gratitude, working through challenges, and managing my schedule.

A long time ago, a very important former leader of mine who is also a neuroscientist told me that when you let your brain get overcrowded with too many things, it loses its ability to function. I’ve witnessed this enough in myself to know this to be true. Since then, I’ve used many strategies, books, and tools (as pictured below) to help me put my thoughts to paper to ensure I had some level of organization in my life and work, and how I balance joy and the inevitable challenges of life.

How many planners and notepads can one person have, really?

What has proven itself to be true for me is that if I take time to sit down, reflect, and write down my goals, track my habits, reflect on gratitude, and keep track of all my “to dos”, I do significantly better achieving balance and working towards positive and productive things that lead to a good life.

I also realized that I couldn’t carry around a dozen life-management books with me everywhere I went and that I was having a really hard time finding the right book to help me achieve all I wanted in life.

So I made my own.

I’m excited to tell you that my book: Thoughts to Actions to Outcomes: A Tool for Capturing & Acting Upon Your Intentions, Habits, Joys, and Challenges is now out and available on Amazon, after going through a few edits.

This tool includes 52 weeks of space to plan and reflect on your week. Sections include:

  • My Intentions & Goals for the Week;

  • Notable Events, Appointments, and Obligations for the Week;

  • Tasks I Hope to Complete This Week (Both Personal & Professional) with a customized tracking system;

  • Positive & Productive Daily/Weekly Habits and Routines Tracker;

  • Practicing Gratitude & Experiencing Joy;

  • Challenges and Possible Solutions or Action Plan; and,

  • Looking Ahead: Things I Hope to Improve or Accomplish Next Week

Bonus Section of Thoughts to Actions to Outcomes: A Tool for Capturing & Acting Upon Your Intentions, Habits, Joys, and Challenges includes space for you to reflect on future goals and intentions; take a deep breath and reflect; tease-out challenges, celebrate your accomplishments, turn “meaning to…” into “do” in terms of your relationships, and track the things that impacted you and things that matter to you.

This tool has helped me immensely when it comes to holding myself accountable and being able to visually see how I can mobilize myself in the way that is needed to achieve my goals, develop good habits, continuously learn, and work towards a happy, healthy and balanced present and future.

Thoughts to Actions to Outcomes: A Tool for Capturing & Acting Upon Your Intentions, Habits, Joys, and Challenges isn’t fancy in its design, and its intended to be that way. I wanted to keep it simple so that what I wrote down stood out rather than letting my eyes and mind being distracted by swirly designs.

I’m proud of this little addition to my Amazon bookshelf, and I hope you find it as helpful as I am finding it.

Have a look and see if this is a tool that may help you. One reviewer said:

I have tried a lot of planners/journals and this is one I'll definitely stick with. It is such a great tool. For me, I set a plan for the week and then fill in any joys as they occur, as well as habits I want to keep track of. This means that although I fill it out every Sunday night, I don't always use it every single day, which is great because sometimes life is too busy. There is also a section at the back which makes you think about your life and the joys/challenges of it all. I will be buying more books to give to friends for gifts. I highly recommend this journal/planner!
